A Taste of History is an intimate Black History Month dinner experience curated by Culture In A Bowl, celebrating African and African American cuisine through food, culture, and community.
Following the success of our first Detroit dinner party in November, we return to host a thoughtfully crafted evening honoring tradition, storytelling, and heritage on the plate. Guests will enjoy a curated menu featuring Liberian and Southern-inspired dishes, including gumbo, fufu, chuck rice, and plantains — all served in a private, elevated setting.
This dinner is more than a meal. It’s a moment to gather, reflect, and celebrate Black history through flavor, connection, and shared experience.
